Q&A: Are rad tech jobs safe?

Posted by admin in Nuclear Jobs

Question by *Monica*: Are rad tech jobs safe?
Regarding radiology tech jobs. I havent been able to find much info on this, and part of me assumes they must be safe, or it would be obvious when all the employees end up with illnesses, right? However I have found a few conversations online from rad techs that discuss it not being safe, that there is serious exposure or risks.
Can anyone elaborate for me what the risks are for working in this field?
Thanks!

It is completely safe, because we know how to protect ourselves. There is no increase in illnesses over the general population. It can be hard on our backs though, with lifting/moving patients.

Ugh the trolls on here trying to sell stuff are crazy!!!

Anyways, anything related to the medical field at all would be a good idea. Just apply to a hospital or doctor’s office as a receptionist or even a janitor, just to get a feel of what the environment is like.
